The city of Dakhla played a part in her life: "I discovered this magical place through my partner. Settling there was both a therapy, for I had just lost my sister to cancer, and the prospect of a new life. I felt a real thunderbolt for this city with a huge human, natural and climate potential”, confides Laila Ouachi. Since 2006, she got involved in the sustainable development of the region. Being in charge of sports and tourism are the two pillars of her social action. President of the Lagoon association of Dakhla, Laila is also one of the organizers of the international kitesurfing championship which is now called "Prince Moulay El Hassan Kiteboarding World Cup". Admiring the women of the new region that is dear to her heart, Laila Ouachi established “La Sahraouiya”, a feminine and solidarity automobile rally. She currently leads the “OL Consulting” company, which specializes in support and advice to public and private organizations in terms of institutional lobbying and influential communication. But before that, Laila Ouachi had several lives: "Before 1993, there were years of happiness. I have built myself professionally and personally”. From 1993 onwards, when her father was imprisoned, Laila Ouachi experienced years of sadness, between administrative formalities, expectations and calls for royal leniency. Then came 1999: "It is an essential year in my life, the year of the enthronement of King Mohammed VI and the liberation of my father," she remembers with emotion. For Laila who spent twelve years at the 2M TV channel as responsible for programs and production, 2002 represented the opening of another horizon, that of political communication. She joined the cabinet of Prime Minister Driss Jettou then that of Abbas
El Fassi: "It was a real professional school and school of life!”, she says. Wishing to always remaining close to human and social needs, Laila Ouachi works within the Hassan Senoussi Foundation and plans to create a place for mothers and children, that would be called “Dar Al Amane”.
