In Morocco, in the world of advertising and cinema, the name Rakel Taxi is synonymous with casting. Yet nothing prepared Raquel Ohayon, a woman fond of decoration, sculpture and art, to such a destiny. "In 1989, I had an appointment with an advertiser who offered me responsibility for the casting sessions. I said yes”, narrates Rakel, who first proved her worth in this sector and had to find, on a daily basis, interesting actors who are adapted to the shooting. Very soon, she turned out to be a true professional. "During this period, I fought against the stereotype about " blondes” that was rampant in the world of advertising. I did everything to replace it with the sublime Moroccan brunettes. With the directors, who followed me in my choice, we managed to upset the codes of the sector”,, says Rakel Taxi, who does not only do advertising but also makes casting sessions for the cinema, for Moroccan and foreign films. Rakel Taxi worked, among others, with directors Laïla Marrakchi, Latif Lahlou, Faouzi Bensaïdi and André Téchiné: "I like contacts with people. I think very sincerely that everybody can work in the world of TV and movies, provided one does not take himself or herself too seriously! "
