appointment as Minister of Culture by Her Majesty King Mohammed VI, in October
2007”, says the actress who inspired filmmakers, writers and professional art
critiques full of fervor over the intensity, sensitivity and intelligence of
his interpretation. Poet Mostafa Nissaboury said
about Touria Jabrane that she is "an artist in a state of grace ". The game, the expression, the diction and the
gestures of Touria Kraytif Jabrane move and captivate audiences. The actress does not play; she is the character. " Theater is my life ", says the individual whom everyone knows
as Touria Jabrane, a patronymic name unquestionably related to the world of theater
even if the actress also starred in world of movies and TV, always with the
same sincerity in her performance. In 1984, she won the Best Actress Award at
the Baghdad Arab Festival. Also appreciated in Morocco, the late King Hassan II bestowed upon her the Wissam of the National Merit and His Majesty King Mohammed VI bestowed upon

Drama in Rabat. From
Shakespeare to Mohamed Al-Maghout, from Bertold Brecht to Abdellatif Laâbi, she
confronts all texts and gives them her breath and fire. She performed in one of the most prestigious
theaters in the world, the Royal Albert Hall in London, with the “Arab Comedians Group” (Troupe
des comédiens arabes). She founded and chairs “Le Théâtre d'aujourd'hui” theater company. But among all the roles that she has incarnated,
there are two that she never gets rids of, that of wife
